Chapter 01
No two smiles need the same plan
Every patient who comes in for cosmetic work has a different mouth, a different history, and a different idea of what a better smile actually looks like. Dr. Cohen and Dr. Saitta start by looking at the teeth already there rather than reaching for one default fix.
"We know that no two sets of teeth are the same, which is why we personalize our treatments to each patient." That means the plan for a chipped front tooth looks nothing like the plan for years of coffee staining, even when both patients walk in asking for the same thing: a smile they are not self-conscious about.

The treatments that actually change a smile
Cosmetic dentistry here covers veneers, bonding, white fillings, crowns and bridges, denture fittings, and stain cleaning and whitening. Each one solves a different problem: a veneer or bonding recontours or covers a tooth's visible surface, a white filling or a crown addresses a tooth that has decayed or weakened, and a denture fitting rebuilds a smile after teeth are gone.
Whitening and stain cleaning solve a different problem again, color rather than shape or strength. Which combination makes sense for a given patient comes out of the exam, not a menu picked in advance.
Chapter 03
The week it takes to feel normal
Veneers and similar restorations start with a temporary version while the permanent piece is made. Patients are asked to be gentle brushing, flossing, and eating around it during that stretch.
Some sensitivity or irritation in that period is normal, and it settles down on its own. Full adjustment to the new bite and feel typically takes about a week.
